What Is A1 Breaking
League?
A1 Breaking League is the world’s first franchise-based professional Breaking league. We have eight geography-rooted teams with elite crews battling on the global stage.

Every team is built around where it comes from. Tokyo. London. Paris. Los Angeles. Taipei. These aren’t just locations on a map, they’re identities, cultures, and communities that our Breakers carry onto the floor every time they battle. World Champions, Olympians, and Hip Hop Icons represent their region with everything they have. The rivalries are real. The pride is real.
The Format
The format is simple: crew vs crew, city vs city, region vs region, battling it out across an international season for the title of A1BL World Champion. This is the most raw, expressive, athletic art form on the planet, and there is nowhere else to watch the world’s best crews go head to head in a franchised league format.

Former Breaker turned lawyer, Darragh has spent approximately 12 years advising financial institutions in the Netherlands and the UK. Highlights of his Breaking career include being ranked 2nd in South Africa, his native country.

As a Strategy and Operations Specialist, Michael has spent the last 15 years at the intersection of strategy development and execution. He has experience across international operations in complex industries, operating model design and GTM.

“Dyzee” Alba
Special Advisor
Karl “Dyzee” Alba is a world-renowned Canadian Bboy, recognized as one of the pioneers of the “Thread” style and celebrated for his dynamic footwork, legwork, and influence on modern freezes. A former undefeated international battler and recipient of New York City’s prestigious “The Spy Award,” Dyzee has also shaped the global breaking scene as an event producer, helping introduce criteria-based real-time scoring through the R16 World Championships in Korea.
